"How training my Miniature Schnauzer puppy forced me to
nearly give her up and choose another puppy and
how, eventually, I amazingly ended up with two
successfully trained, beautiful Schnauzer dogs that I will
treasure for years to
come!"

Being a dog owner has bought both tremendous joy and
pain into my life. I wanted a dog for years and finally my
dream came true when Sally came home as a schnauzer puppy.
We selected a reputable breeder and bought all the items
recommended for her, and did our very best to welcome her
into our home. Dog training was the next
step!
Sally was so very excitable and could not be tamed for
weeks. She aggressively defended her territory, barked
at all visitors and would go toilet all over the house and
yard where ever it suited her. Anything we tried was
unsuccessful.
She was so cute and adorable though! We loved her so much
but just prayed she would begin to behave for us. Sally's
breeder put it down to the fact that she was young, and
like training any other dog, she should be more 'breakable'
with a little more age on her side.....
It got to the point where I had considered myself as
unsuitable for a dog like
Sally....
I went through so much pain and anguish with training
my puppy, and just hoped that she would mature into
the kind of dog that I had always desired. I wanted Sally
to walk calmly, to ride in the car sensibly and to
patiently accept food when it was offered to her. We hated
her leaping on furniture, nipping and chewing EVERYTHING,
peeing on the carpet and yelping at nights instead of
sleeping.
Most of all I wanted my dog to behave around my
friends and children, without fear that she would embarrass
me or worse, get excited and bite or bark at my loved
ones.
Many friends and other dog owners that saw me struggling
would offer dog training advice, tips and ideas for how to
get my dog under control, and obviously as you would agree,
it was highly embarrassing for me. It was like the whole
world thought I was incompetent!
Unfortunately, it made me fear taking her out and letting
Sally interact with other people. I tried Puppy-Preschool
and later, Puppy School with no success. Before I even
turned up for the first time I knew Sally was going to let
me down. All she wanted to do was fight and jump around
with other dogs. Even the drive to the training centre was
a nightmare for me!
There was days when I would dread coming home from work,
for fear of what Sally had been doing while we were
gone......
I did everything possible for my dog. I took her to
expert after expert, I read the internet for days and weeks
combing for information and I read nearly all dog books I
could rent at my library.
Sally would briefly but sporadically respond to sensible
training and discipline but would soon get back into her
old ways as quick as I thought she would mend...It seemed
like she was just taunting me to expose my flawed training
methods and all the work I had done.
With Sally nearing a year old, I had grown tired of the
explanation of her 'being young and excitable' as an excuse
for her behaviour and training problems. I was at my wits
end, and was seriously contemplating - dare I say it -
moving Sally to a new home, and trying again with another
puppy.
I mean, as horrible as it now sounds, I just
knew
there was perfect dogs out there by the dozen with
happy owners, so I wondered wither I had just found a dud
dog..There was no other explanation for it
surely!
As luck would have it, I was stocking up on pet meat at our
local pet shop, when God himself sent me a gift by the name
of Veronica Stephens, a schnauzer lover like me. She saw me
thumbing through a Schnauzer owners guide and asked me if I
had a Schnauzer...
My 'dog-life' changed forever when Veronica told me about
her brothers training techniques, I knew she was so very
genuine from the passionate way she talked about his
successful dog training
ideas...
Veronica and I chatted away for about half an hour, she
told me of her brother Daniel Stephens who had worked with
nearly every breed and had particular expertise with hard
to train breeds and excitable dogs. I was so intrigued with
his work, I got on the net when I got home and looked up
his work. To say I was impressed was an
understatement.
It didn’t take me long to realise that a HUGE number of
people had experienced great success with Daniel's beaut
guide
sitstayfetch.
Cautiously, but determinedly I read more about
sitstayfetch
and its broad coverage of a great many dog behaviour
issues. My apprehensions of getting an internet based
product quickly dissolved and I confidently purchased
Daniels guide, and excitedly began to put his work into
practise.
My initial read of
sitstayfetch
was captivating, and I was confident I had received
exceptional value even before I had started working on
Sally's problems using Daniels revolutionary and fresh
methods.
Boy was I in for a shock when I started training though!
Sally's turnaround was so fast and so abrupt, it was like I
had began to work with a dog that I had never known before.
What’s obvious when you read
sitstayfetch
, it just how perfectly Daniel understands a dogs mind, and
how to best understand and get inside it.
I was very impressed with
sitstayfetch's
coverage and explanation of how MY reactions, actions
and instructions can be tuned to be understood by the
dog.
Sitstayfetch
also brilliantly tailors your techniques to suit the
breed your working with, as Daniel points out that each is
different in nature and has a vast range of methods to
cover this.
Sally, within I would say around 2 weeks, became accepting
of my direct instructions in a way I wouldn’t have
(initially) thought possible. I taught her to use my praise
as a reward, and I learnt that all along I had been sending
her the wrong signals with my traditional commands, actions
and discipline.
Sitstayfetch
also has given me the toolkit and necessary skill
base to confidently address all my dog training problems
within the 4 months since I purchased the product. Covered
in the PDF book, are specific addresses and chapters
on:
-Aggression and bad behaviour in dogs and
puppies
-Defensive, territorial and un-predictable behaviour
curbing
-Curbing shyness, fear and natural instinct in your
dog
-Whisper training for the ultimate control of your pet (and
so easy to learn)
-How to make your dog walk on a lead perfectly every
time
-Develop perfect eating behaviour and discipline around
food
-How to stop chewing, biting, nipping and mouthing
urges.
-Tricks, commands and advanced behaviour and training for
specific tasks to get the best from your pet (i.e. fetch
the paper!), and a whole lot more I haven’t got the time to
detail here.
Sitstayfetch
did so much good for me as an owner, and Sally as a
pet, I recently bought myself another Schnauzer pup and am
having the time of my life with my two new best friends,
reformed, revamped Sally and perfect
Lucy...!
Sitstayfetch
really has opened my eyes to the enjoyable side of
dog ownership. I really urge anyone to read it and enjoy
being in the place I am with my two beautiful, perfectly
mannered young dogs. The rewards outweigh the small
investment by thousands of times, in my opinion. All the
very best for you and your dog and
sitstayfetch
